We firmly believe in doing our part to help firefighters and their departments all across the country. Here, we give you the training and tools needed to better yourself, your department and your future.
We offer firefighters a comprehensive skillset to bring unmanned aircraft systems technology directly to the front lines and ultimately skew the fight in your favor.
Our courses cover both practical applications and flight training, with our team further developing the program for your department after the course is over. We’re there with you throughout the process to provide continued training and consulting if necessary. Because at the end of the day, it’s all about giving you as much help as possible, so you can further help others.
Your department will be learning from industry-leading experts and instructors with unrivaled experience in the field.
This course is designed for the emergency first responder, providing in-depth exposure to the theory, tactics and technology of unmanned aircraft systems using simulated flight.
Practical experience is gained through vignettebased virtual simulations of firefighting and rescue efforts.
Specific topics fluctuate based on firefighting operations, including structural and wildland surveillance techniques with thermography, aerial videography for HazMat operations, surveillance techniques for technical search and rescue operations and aviation support for firefighting efforts.
This course will assist the newly certificated Remote Pilot with a small UAS rating to operate Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) following the current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) policies and guidance that applies to UAS operating within the National Airspace System (NAS). Taking flight at the Eldorado Droneport will build your flight confidence in our netted cubical environment before you take off into the open airspace of the droneport. At the completion of this course you will be prepared to manage your UAS for your commercial operations.
This course is designed to provide both the newly assigned and/or experienced firefighting leaders and supervisors the latest tools, tips and techniques to equip, train and manage their organization. This course can also be used for recurrent annual training, as both a refresher and an update.
