This course is designed to prepare the student for FAA Certification as a Sport Pilot. The student will learn the core flight fundamentals during the ground school the Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) will present the FAA rules and regulations, how to understand the impact of weather on planning your flight, aircraft weight and balance, aeronautical charts and pre-flight planning ending ground school with an overall review. The conclusion of this training course consists of a review that will prepare the student for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airman Knowledge Test for Sport Pilot
This course is designed to continue preparing the student for FAA Certification as a Sport Pilot. The student has learned the core flight fundamentals in ground school and will put that knowledge to work during flight training. During the oneon-one flight training conducted by the CFI the student will be guided through the pre-flight routine before their first flight together. The student and CFI will conduct multiple dual flights until the instructor feels the student is ready for solo flight. A milestone in the training will be the required solo cross country flight of at least 75 miles, with a full-stop landing at a minimum of two points. One segment of the flight must include a straight line distance of at least 25 miles between the takeoff and landing locations.
The conclusion of this training course consists of a review that will prepare the student for the FAA Practical Exam for a Sport Pilot License.
